About Me - The Hawaii Gardener
Trained with a technical education, I worked in the early Internet industry as a Network Engineer for companies like WorldComm, ANSNet, AOL, UUNET and MCI.
I had the distinction of being one of the team members responsible for laying the first broadband Internet backbone across the United States in the nineties.
At the turn of the 21st century I took a leap of faith in my own abilities and started a small online hydroponics company and pioneered techniques like Bubbleponics and Oxyponics, laying claim to the trademark designs that are still an industry standard.
I sold my company in 2014 and moved to the Islands fulfilling a life long dream of retiring in Hawaii. Since living here and helping provide patients with medical marijuana I've adapted my engineering mind to work identifying the efficiencies involved with growing the medicinal plant so as to provide all who desire with the ability to learn these techniques.
My love of horticulture began as a small boy playing in my father's vegetable garden. Eventually he assigned me a patch all of my own to grow what I wanted and was able to experience the glee of nurturing life at a young age first hand. Those profound joys I experienced never dissipated and I enjoy growing a large repertoire of garden plants, veggies and greens.
